Reveal Day - New Generic Top Level Domain Applications Announced
After several delays within the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the governing body behind internet domain names, the final list of applications for new generic top level domain names (‘gTLD’) was published on 13 June 2012, dubbed ‘Reveal Day.’ There are currently only 22 recognised gTLDs, these being the end part of an internet address such as .COM and .ORG.
