Office Administration Apprentice

 

Location:  Cambridge (West Campus)

 

Overview

 

Providing an efficient and effective support service to the office which includes Patent Administrators and Patent Attorneys within a busy patent team.  Working within the administration team to ensuring the Attorneys receive the required help and support to enable them to carry out their professional duties. The role will suit a junior administrator looking to further their career with an interesting apprenticeship opportunity. Role to include external Patent and IP sector recognised training.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • To provide administrative and practical support for the secretary team including the taking of dictation, typing, photocopying and filing.
  • Other day to day duties may include;

        - Take phone calls/messages, deal with accordingly and arrange conference calls

        - Managing the post

        - Greeting visitors

        - Assisting with travel arrangements and booking hotels

        - Scheduling meeting rooms

        - Providing refreshments

  • You may also be required to look after health and safety, supplies control (stationery, refreshments and supplies for the bathrooms), general office tidiness and the maintenance of office equipment (photocopiers, faxes, alarms etc).

 

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level with at least 4 A - C grades, must include Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Good planning and self-organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic, confident, alert and with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

 

 

Additional Requirements

 

Due to office location candidates will need their own transport or have access to the 1, 3, X3 Whippet bus route.

 

Salary Range

 

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

 

This role is eligible for the Team Bonus Structure.
