Better late than never: registering old trade marks
When is new old? When is old new? When it's New College, Oxford. It's both ancient and modern because, after suitable deliberation - 633 years - the College has decided that, contrary to the views of Shakespeare's Juliet, there is something in a name.
It recently succeeded in securing a trade mark registration for the College in the UK for the word mark NEW COLLEGE OXFORD in respect of the institution's core education services as well as clothing and bags.
