As described in our previous articles, the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) is a programme designed to expedite examination of pending applications and reduce work duplication through work sharing, this now encompasses 25 national and regional patent offices. 

By making a PPH request, the prosecution of an application may be accelerated on the basis of a co-pending application deemed to be allowable by a co-operating patent office.
